초록
구술기록의 보존과 관리는 국가 유산의 지식 창출과 활용이면서 지역 문화의 가치향상을 도모하는 것으로 공공도서관은 구술사를 통해 국민의 삶을 재조명하고 그들의 기록을 수집, 활용, 보존해야 하는 사명을 지니고 있다. 본 연구는 국내 공공도서관의 구술기록물 관리에 관한 개선방안을 모색하고자 문헌연구와 현재 구술기록을 수집하고 있는 공공도서관 담당자의 설문조사 및 심층 면담을 진행하였다. 그 결과를 바탕으로 구술기록물 관리를 위한 정책과 매뉴얼 수립, 공공도서관 업무 담당자들의 구술기록물 수집⋅활용⋅보존⋅관리에 대한 전문 능력을 고양시키는 개별 교육프로그램 마련, 지역의 구술사를 활용한 홍보 전략의 개발, 구술기록물 보존을 위한 장기적 환경 마련 및 활용 다각화, 구술기록물의 수집⋅활용⋅보존에 대응할 수 있는 충분한 전문인력 배치를 제안하였다.
Abstract
The preservation and management of oral historical records are for creating and utilizing knowledge of national heritage and promoting the value of local culture. Furthermore, one of the missions of the pubic libraries is to realize the general utilization of records by reexamining people’s lives and employing oral historical records to preserve their rights and benefits. This study attempted to find ways to improve the management of oral records in public libraries through literature reviews, surveys, and in-depth interviews with public library staff to gather detailed opinions on oral records in public libraries. Based on the discussions concluded in this study, establishing policies and manuals for oral records management, sufficient professional workforce, specialized education programs for staff development in collecting, preserving, recording and managing oral historical records, public relations strategies, and preparation of a long-term preservation environment for thorough digitalization were suggested for the improvement of the collection, utilization, preservation, and management of oral records in public libraries.
초록
교회기록물은 종교적 의미와 역사 문화적 가치, 교회의 효율적 운영을 위해 잘 관리되어야 한다. 그러나 교회 기록의 가치와 기록관 역할에 대한 인식 부족으로 기록관리 업무에 대한 이해와 협조, 예산과 인력 지원 등을 받기가 어려운 환경이다. 이러한 현실을 감안하여 본 연구는 개신교 기록관의 서비스 사례 조사와 새문안교회 기록관의 현황 분석, 이용자 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 새문안교회를 중심으로 한 개신교 기록관 운영 활성화 방안을 환경, 서비스, 역할 측면에서 제시하였다. 교회기록관의 교육, 전시, 출판, 홍보 등의 서비스는 기록관의 역할과 필요성을 재조명하고 모기관인 교회에서 필수적 기관으로 자리매김하도록 할 것이다.
Abstract
For the efficient management of church documentary for religious reasons, including their historical and cultural values, the church archives should be excellently managed. However, the lack of understanding and consideration of the church records and archives makes it very difficult to have an actual grasp of its status and practical supports, such as budget and personnel, for records management. In this study, literature reviews and current status of domestic Protestant church archives, user survey of Saemoonan Presbyterian church and interviews of church archives records officer were carried out. Based on the results of the study, three parts of the proposed plan of the Saemoonan Presbyterian Archives were suggested. Education, exhibition, publication, and promotion of the church’s archival services will help redirect the roles and values of the archives, which will make it an essential part of the church.
