초록
이 연구는 한국의 행정박물 관리체계 구축을 위한 기초연구로서, 미국캐나다호주중국의 행정박물 관리체계를 조사분석한 것이다. 이를 위해 각국의 기록관리 법령 및 지침을 분석하여 행정박물의 개념과 관리체계를 도출하였다. 또한, 각국의 기록물관리기관 홈페이지 분석과 담당자와의 인터뷰를 통해 행정박물의 전시활용 현황을 조사하였다. 이러한 연구를 바탕으로 한국의 행정박물 관리체계 구축을 위한 벤치마킹요소를 제시하였다는데 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This paper is a preliminary study aiming to establish an archival objects system in Korea. This study analyzes the archival objects systems in the US, Canada, Australia, and China. This paper attempts to conceptualize archival objects and substantiate a management system of archival objects based on legal statues and guidance of each nation's records management. Moreover, this paper includes present conditions of utilization of exhibition by scrutinizing official websites of archival institutions and interviewing related officials in above mentioned countries.

현재 우리나라는 학령인구의 감소에 따라 다수의 학교들이 폐교될 위기에 직면해있으며 지역사회에서는 교육기관을 통폐합하는 사례가 늘고 있다. 이로 인해 과거 교육문화의 변화를 보여줄 역사적, 문화적으로 가치 있는 다수의 교육 관련 기록물들이 멸실⋅훼손될 위기에 처해 있다. 특히 교육 행정박물은 과거 교육기관의 운영에 따른 이력과 이에 담긴 교육적 의미를 효과적으로 보여줄 수 있는 중요한 기록이자 문화유산임에도 불구하고 체계적인 관리 방안이 미흡한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 교육 행정박물이 가진 특성을 기록학적 관점과 문화유산적 관점에서 고찰하고, 이를 효과적으로 관리하기 위해 필요한 기능을 도출하기 위해 현재 공공기관에서 도입하고 있는 표준기록관리시스템, 특수유형 기록물 관리시스템, 사료 관리시스템의 주요 기능을 비교⋅검토하였다. 나아가 J 교육대학의 행정박물 보유현황 및 관리 사례 분석을 통해, 교육 행정박물 관리를 위한 시스템의 필수 기능과 이에 따른 메뉴 구성안을 제시함으로써 연구 결과의 실효성을 검증하였다.
Abstract
Many Korean schools are in danger of closure because of a decreasing school-age population, and cases of consolidation of educational institutions in the local community are on the rise. A number of educational records, particularly educational administrative artifacts (hereafter “Edu Artifacts”), are accordingly in danger of disappearing. Despite their historical, cultural, and educational value, systematic management is far from satisfactory. This study thus examines the characteristics of Edu Artifacts from the archival and cultural heritage perspectives and compares standard records management system, special type records management system, and historical manuscripts management system, which are currently used in public institutions, to see what is required to manage them effectively. By analyzing the Edu Artifacts possession status and management system of J University of Education, This study intends to verify the research outcome’s effectiveness by presenting the essential functions of the management system of Edu Artifacts and the corresponding menu structure.

이 연구에서는 ‘항구도시 부산’이라는 이미지를 형성하는 데 큰 역할을 한 부산항은 부산의 대표적인 로컬리티 공간이므로 부산항과 인근지역의 경관에 관한 사진, 엽서 등 이미지 기록을 중심으로 <부산항 사진 아카이브>를 구축하는 과정과 방법을 구체적으로 기술함으로써 로컬리티의 재현방법론을 확산하고 공유하고자 한다. 사진, 엽서 등 이미지 기록, 즉 사진기록의 특성을 문자 위주의 텍스트 기록과 비교하여 그 특성을 살펴보고, 이미지 기록의 대중 친화적인 특성에 주목하여 부산항에 관한 사진, 엽서 등의 이미지 기록을 수집하여 오픈소스 기록관리 소프트웨어 가운데 사진의 전시에 적합한 오메카(Omeka)를 이용하여 사진 아카이브를 실험적으로 구축해 보았다. 그 과정과 방법을 보면, 먼저 아카이브 구축 목적에 따른 개발 원칙을 세우고, 기록 수집을 위한 기초조사를 실시하였다. 부산항 관련 기록 소장기관과 개인소장가 등의 저작권 동의를 얻어서 원본 또는 파일을 수집하였다. 이후 수집한 기록은 더블린코어에 따라 기술하였으며, 시기에 따른 컬렉션을 구성하고 기록을 정리하였다. 부산항의 공간적 성격을 교통공간, 역사공간, 산업공간, 생활공간으로 구분하고, 11개 전시주제를 구상하였다. 전시의 보기로 교통공간의 부관연락선을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to share a methodology for locality reproduction by concretely explaining the theoretical model, procedure, and practice of constructing the Port of Busan Image Digital Archive, based on the photographic and postcard images of the Port of Busan, the representative place of Busan. Among the open-source record management programs, Omeka was chosen in implementing the digital archive because of its suitability for image exhibition. After establishing the principles for archive implementation in accordance with the purpose of the archive, a basic investigation was conducted for the record collection. With the consent of the individuals and institutions that possess the related records on the Port of Busan, such as the National Archives of Korea, the Busan Museum, and the City of Busan, original image artifacts were thus collected. The collected artifacts were then described using the Dublin Core metadata and categorized by time period. The Port of Busan was classified through four distinctive spatial characteristics (transportation, historic, industrial, and living spaces). A total of 11 themes for the exhibition was then suggested. The Busan-Shimonoseki Ferry Boat was chosen as an example exhibition of transportation space.
초록
고고학은 현재에 직접 관찰할 수 없는 과거의 인간 행위를 연구하는 학문이다. 따라서 과거의 물질문화와 정황을 기록하고 있는 데이터는 고고학 연구에 있어 매우 중요하다. 그럼에도 불구하고 우리나라에서 고고학 데이터를 위한 디지털 아카이브 개발에 관심을 가지고 개발의 필요성에 대해 주장하는 사람들은 별로 없다. 본 논문은 고고학 데이터와 그 데이터를 위한 디지털 아카이브의 중요성과 필요성에 대해 생각해봄으로써, 우리나라의 국가 고고학 데이터 디지털 아카이브 개발의 필요성을 인식하는 기회가 마련되었으면 하는 바람에서 시작되었다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 먼저 고고학의 학문, 데이터, 디지털 아카이브의 성격에 대해 간단하게 살펴보도록 하겠다. 다음 부분에서는 세계적으로 유명한 고고학 데이터의 디지털 아카이빙 사례를 살펴보도록 하겠다. 마지막으로 앞의 내용들을 고려하여 우리나라의 국가 고고학 데이터 디지털 아카이브 개발을 위한 제언을 하고자 한다.
Abstract
Because archaeological artifacts are often destroyed during physical excavation, the data archaeologists gather in the field is rich with research potential. Few in Korea have paid attention to digital archives for archaeological data or argued for their development. This paper considers the significance and necessity of archaeological data and digital archives for its preservation and access. It also raises awareness of the need to develop a Korean national archaeological data digital archive. The paper first overviews the nature of the archaeological discipline, data, and digital archives. Then it investigates well-known, global cases involving digital archiving of archaeological data. Based on these foundations, the paper discusses principal and prior challenges to developing a Korean national archaeological data digital archive.
