초록

김대중도서관은 아시아 최초의 대통령도서관으로 25만여 점의 사료를 소장하고 있는 민간대통령기록관이다. 주로 김대중 전직 대통령의 생애, 근현대사, 민주화 등에 관련한 기록물을 수집하고 있으며 이를 관리하고 활용하여 사료사업, 전시사업, 연구사업 등을 진행하고 있다. 국내 민간대통령기록관은 기념재단이 주체가 되어 운영하고 있는 경우가 대부분이지만 김대중도서관은 고등교육기관이 운영하고 있다는 특이점이 있다. 이에 따라 기록물을 기반으로 하여 역사, 민주주의에 대한 교육적 역할을 수행하며 연구자에게 자유로운 연구 공간을 제공하고 기록물을 통한 연구를 지원할 수 있도록 하는 목표를 가지고 있다. 본 고에서는 교육기관의 부속기관이며 민간대통령기록관인 김대중도서관의 대표적인 기록정보서비스에 대한 사례를 소개하고 앞으로 대통령기록관의 과제를 제시하고자 한다.

Abstract

The Kim Dae-jung Library is Asia's first presidential library and is a private presidential archive with over 250,000 historical materials. It mainly collects records related to the life of former President Kim Dae-jung, modern and contemporary history, and democratization, While most of the private presidential archives in Korea are operated by memorial foundations, the Kim Dae-jung Library is unique in that a higher education institution operates it. Accordingly, it aims to take an educational role in history and democracy based on records, providing free research space for researchers, and supporting research through records. This report introduces examples of the Kim Dae-jung Library’s representative archival information service, an affiliated institution of educational institutions and private presidential archives, and presents the future tasks of the presidential archives.

Abstract

Seongbuk Village Archive is a village archive built by Seongbuk-gu Office and Seongbuk Cultural Center to contain the uniqueness and specificity of the region. It is a community archive that preserves the records of the community and a digital archive that builds a database through the digitalization of source data. The management system and home page were established through annual and step-by-step promotion through public-private governance. Seongbuk Village Archive’s system is designed to facilitate data accumulation and connection between individual records based on the advanced village record standard classification system. Based on this, Seongbuk Cultural Center tried to produce convergence cultural content by linking records online and off-line. In addition, the composition of items displayed on the website has been diversified to not only preserve records but also produce and utilize content. It is a structure created after contemplating how to show the creation and existence of Seongbuk’s historical and cultural resources to users in context. In addition, a richer archive platform was built through various curations and activities of the resident record group.

신행정수도건설 사업은 국가의 행정수도 이전을 목적으로 이행되는 중요한 국정사업으로서 건설 과정에서 생산되는 기록물은 역사적인 가치가 매우 높다. 그러나 우리나라는 이러한 신행정수도건설 관련 기록물의 관리가 미흡하기 때문에 관리 방안을 모색하는 것이 필요하다. 브라질은 신행정수도인 브라질리아 건설을 수행하며 생산된 기록물을 공공과 민간영역을 포함하여 수집하고 구축하여 서비스하고 있는 국가이다. ArPDF는 브라질리아 건설기록물을 관리하기 위하여 설립된 브라질의 기록물관리기관으로서 본 연구의 사례 분석 대상으로 선정하였다. 본 연구는 ArPDF의 웹 사이트와 공식출판물 등을 분석하여 신행정수도건설기록물 관리에 관한 전반적인 사항을 조사하고, 이를 바탕으로 우리나라의 신행정수도건설기록물 관리에 적용할 수 있는 시사점을 도출하였다.

Abstract

The new administrative capital construction project is an important national project implemented to relocate the national administrative capital, and the records produced during the construction have high historical value. However, Korea’s management of these records related to the construction of the new administrative capital is insufficient; thus, finding a management plan is necessary. In contrast, Brazil is a country that collects, builds, and maintains both public and private records produced during the construction of Brasilia, the new administrative capital. Thus, Arquivo Público do Distrito Federal (ArPDF), the Brazilian records management organization established to manage Brasilia’s construction records, was selected as the case analysis subject in this study. By analyzing ArPDF’s website and official publications, this study investigated the overall matters related to the management of new administrative capital construction records and derived implications applicable to the management of new administrative capital construction records in Korea.
