초록
사회 속에서 살아가는 인간, 즉 개인이 생산한 개인 기록물에 대한 올바른 가치 판단을 통해 개인과 사회를 이해하고 사회발전에 기여하는 것은 의미있는 일이다. 흩어진 개인 기록물을 체계적으로 수집하고 관리 및 보존하기 위해서는 개인 기록물이 가진 가치를 충분히 이해해야 한다. 특히, 개인과 사회의 관계에 주목한 개인 기록물의 가치는 사회 구성원인 개인과 사회가 상호 협력을 통해 풍부하게 발전할 수 있는 토대를 마련한다. 그에 앞서 개인 기록물의 가치를 이해하기 위해 개인 기록물의 생산 주체인 개인에 대한 심층적인 분석이 이루어져야 한다. 생애사 연구의 구성요소와 특성을 개인 기록화에 적용하는 것은 생애에 바탕을 둔 개인 기록물의 가치 분석을 통해 올바른 가치가 지속될 수 있도록 하는 바탕을 마련한다는 점에 의미가 있다. 개인 기록물과 생애사 연구 간의 관계를 밝혀 개인 기록화의 필요성과 개인 기록화를 위한 심층적인 생애사 연구의 중요성을 연구한다. 또한 생애사 연구의 구성과 특성을 통해 기록학의 관점에서 적용할 수 있는 거시적인 방향을 제시하여 개인 기록화의 바탕을 마련한다.
Abstract
The personal history of individuals directly and vividly reflects the courses of their life and the society of which they are a part. It has become a meaningful part of the social landscape today to pursue efforts to understand humans and humanity correctly and properly through the windows of private records. Notably, the significance of keeping private records on the relationship between individuals and the society of which they are a part lies in the fact that they cooperate to build a foundation on which they can prosper together. One of necessary things to be done to fully appreciate the values of such private records is to perform serious analyses on particular individuals who are behind those records. Developing and refining methods of life history research such as time-line interviews exert positive influence in setting up a direction for private documentation systems where private records are collected and maintained.
초록
국가기록원은 민간영역의 중요 기록물을 보호하고 기록문화에 대한 인식을 확산시키기 위한 목적으로 2008년부터 매년 ‘기록사랑마을’을 지정하여 지원․운영해오고 있다. 기록사랑마을은 국가 재정지원을 받는 사업인 만큼 예산사용의 정당성을 확보하고, 사업의 방향성을 재정립하기 위하여 본래의 사업 목적을 기준으로 현재 현황을 점검하고 살펴보는 작업이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기록사랑마을 중 I군을 방문하여 접근성, 전시내용 및 방법, 시설 및 장비 등을 관찰을 통해 조사하였다. 또한 3명의 지역 관계자, 8명의 마을주민, 1명의 국가기록원 담당자와의 인터뷰를 통해 기록사랑마을의 운영현황과 문제점을 분석하여 장차 기록사랑마을 사업을 활성화할 수 있는 개선방안을 제언하였다. 본 연구는 기록사랑마을의 효과적인 이용방안을 모색함으로써 향후 보다 많은 마을에서 그 지역의 민간기록물을 수집․관리 및 활용 계획을 세우는데 도움이 되고자 한다.
Abstract
In 2008, the National Archives of Korea initiated the Archive Village project for the purpose of protecting valuable private records and enhancing the awareness of archival culture. To justify the expense of the government-supported project and determine its future direction, it is necessary to analyze the current status of the project. To do that, the researchers visited an Archive Village in I county and examined its accessibility, exhibition contents, facilities, equipment, etc., through observation. Interviews were also conducted with the person in charge of the project in the National Archives of Korea, as well as eight residents and three persons who were involved in building and managing the Archive Village in I county. Based on the results of the observation and interviews, the study suggests recommendations to improve the operation of the Archive Village in I county. The findings of the study will help other villages plan acquisition and management, as well as how to make important private records in local areas available.
