초록
웹을 통해 유통되는 다양한 기록정보의 보존에 대한 필요성과 중요성은 점점 더 증대되고 있다. 전통적인 유형의 기록물뿐만 아니라 웹을 통해 생산되는 각종 소통의 기록들은 하나의 기억에 대한 다양한 관점을 보여주는 것이며, 특히 그 중에서도 재난에 대한 웹 기록물들은 미래의 세대를 위해서도 반드시 장기적으로 보존되어야 할 가치가 있는 자료이다. 국립중앙도서관에서 구축하고 관리하는 웹 아카이빙 서비스인 OASIS를 통해 제공되는 재난아카이브는 최근 국내에서 일어났던 재난 사건들에 대해 생산된 웹정보자원들을 수집하고 보존하기 위해 구성되었다. 본 연구에서는 OASIS 재난아카이브의 특성과 콘텐츠 현황 및 문제점 등을 살펴보고, 이를 통해 재난에 대한 웹기록물 아카이빙의 발전을 위한 과제를 모색해보고자 한다.
Abstract
The need for and importance of preserving various information resources on the web is constantly increasing. In addition to traditional types of records, the web contains communication records displaying various people’s diverse viewpoints and connecting an event to its context. In particular, information resources produced during a disaster must be collected for long-term preservation. The “OASIS Disaster Archive” is a service provided through OASIS, which was developed and is managed by the National Library of Korea, to collect and preserve online information resources related to the recent disaster events in Korea. This study examines the characteristics and current status of the contents of the Disaster Archive to make suggestions for its improvements.

본 연구에서는 해외 국가 웹 아카이빙 사례들을 인터페이스 유형 및 특성들을 항목별로 분석하고 살펴보았다. 이를 위하여 다섯 개의 인터페이스 영역과 열네 개의 평가 항목을 선정하였으며, 해외사례 및 국내 OASIS를 대조하여 분석한 결과, 국내의 경우에는 검색 인터페이스 및 지원기능 인터페이스 영역에의 보강이 필요함을 확인하였다. 또한 해외 사례의 참조를 통하여 국내의 경우 수집 대상 웹 콘텐츠 주제 영역의 다양화, 웹 자원 수집의 분담화, 특별 컬렉션의 구성, 아카이빙 시점 및 흐름의 시각화, 체계적인 아카이빙 전략 수행, 그리고 국제기구와의 적극적 협력 등이 강화되어야 함을 확인하였다.
Abstract
In this study, national web archiving cases were reviewed and interface types and characteristics were examined. Five interface categories and fourteen evaluation criteria were selected. As for the OASIS, Korean national web archiving project, functions of retrieval interface and user support interface were insufficient and need to be reinforced. Other recommended improvement plans were; diversifications of the subject area of web contents, sharing the web acquisition, make up the special collection, visualization of archiving time and trends, systematic performance of the archiving strategy, and active collaboration with international organization.
