초록
본 연구는 마이그레이션에 대한 개념 정리와 더불어 전자기록물 장기보존을 위한 다양한 마이그레이션 전략 및 DPT, CAMiLEON 등 주요 마이그레이션 전략 적용사례에 대한 조사분석을 통해 국내 전자기록물 장기보존 전략으로서 마이그레이션을 적용하기 위해 고려해야 할 시사점들을 제안하였다.
Abstract
In this study, we proposed some fundamental considerations in application of a migration strategy for long-term preservation of electronic records. It also reviewed the notion of migration and various data migration strategies such as DPT and CAMiLEON through the literature survey.
초록
정부 및 공공기관은 현재 사회, 문화, 복지, 교육 등 국가 전 영역에 걸쳐 과학적인 정책결정을 도출하는 수단으로 여론조사를 실시하고 있다. 이와 같은 중요성에도 불구하고 현재 생산되는 정부 여론조사자료는 정부부처별로 산재하여 관리되고 있으나 수집 및 관리체계 부재로 인하여 일부자료가 누락되거나 소실되고 있다. 왜냐하면, 정부 여론조사자료가 대부분 인쇄자료 형태로 분산관리되기 때문에 통계적 활용이 불가능하며 자료접근에 제한이 있다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 여론조사자료의 장기적인 보존․활용을 위해 여론조사자료의 관리․보존현황에 대한 국내외 사례 분석, 문헌연구, 관련 표준분석을 실시하여 수집정책, 평가기준, 통합메타데이터, 자료변환절차, 보존포맷으로 구분하여 아카이브 방안을 도출하였다.
Abstract
The government and public institutions are conducting public-opinion surveys as means of drawing the scientific policy decisions throughout the country's whole sectors ; society, culture, welfare, education, etc. The Government Survey Data have been under management by each governmental department, but the improper ways of data collection and management have led to omissions and losses of some data. Also there are limitations on the statistic usage and access to the data due to the fact that the data are managed dispersedly in the form of printed materials. Accordingly, to make the survey data available for the long-term preservation and usage, this study suggests collection policy, standard of evaluation, metadata, the procedure and method of converting materials, preservation format.

국방과학연구소에서는 보유하고 있는 아날로그 형태 시청각 기록물을 디지털 변환을 통하여 이용자의 접근 용이성을 확보하고 시스템을 통한 보다 체계적인 관리를 위해 “영상기록관리시스템”을 구축하고 운영 중에 있다. 본 연구는 이에 대한 전체 구축 과정과 실제 운영 사항에 관한 내용을 담고 있는 것으로, 시청각 기록물의 디지털 변환을 통한 DB 구축과 이용자의 직접적인 검색․활용을 통하여 기록물에 대한 보존과 활용에 대한 실제 사례를 기술하고 있다. 구체적으로는 이미지와 동영상 데이터를 관리하고 활용하기 위한 시스템 개발요구사항 분석에서부터 아날로그형 자료의 디지털 변환을 통한 DB 구축 시 표준 업무절차 구현, 품질 기준 설정, 메타데이터 항목 설정 등에 관한 내용을 포함하고 있다. 또한, 실제로 시청각 기록물 관리를 위한 시스템을 운영함으로써 얻을 수 있는 시스템 효과 분석을 통하여 시청각 기록물 관리 시스템 구축의 필요성에 대해서도 언급하고 있다.
Abstract
ADD(Agency for Defense Development) has developed digital audio-visual archives management system to ensure easy access and long-term preservation for digital audio-visual archives. This paper covers total process of the system development and database management in the aspect of preservation and utilization by users' easy search through digitization of audio-visual archives. In detail, it contains system design for images and video data handling, standard workflow establishment, data quality, and metadata settings for database by converting an analog data into digital format. Also, this study emphasizes the importance of audio-visual archives management system through cost-effectiveness analysis.
