초록
기록관은 다양한 확장서비스 방법들을 활용하여 이용자들에게 홍보를 해야 한다. 그중에서도 견학은 유용한 서비스 방법이나, 기록관 견학에 대한 연구는 거의 없었다. 본 연구는 기록관 견학에 대해 연구하고 바람직한 프로그램을 제안해보기 위해, 대통령기록관을 사례로 연구를 진행하였다. 이를 위해 미국 대통령기록관 네 곳의 사례를 살펴보고 분석하였으며, 국내의 유사기관으로 견학프로그램을 제공하고 있는 김대중 도서관, 외교부 외교사료관과 국립중앙도서관의 견학 프로그램을 살펴보았다. 그리고 현재 대통령기록관에서 제공하고 있는 견학 프로그램을 살펴보고 분석하여 제한점을 확인하였다. 그리고 곧 세종특별시에 단독청사로 이전할 대통령기록관의 특성을 반영하여 다양한 이용자를 대상으로 한 바람직한 견학프로그램 구성 방향을 제시하였다.
Abstract
Archives should promote services to users using various outreach service methods. Although the archives’ tour program is one of the effective means of services, there has been few studies on the archival tour program. This study investigated archival tour programs and tried to suggest a desirable tour program, with the Korean Presidential Archives as a case. For this study, four U.S. Presidential Libraries’ tour programs were investigated and analyzed. Also, tour programs offered in similar organizations in Korea, such as Kim Daejung Library, Diplomatic Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and National Library of Korea, were analyzed. Current tour programs offered by the Korean Presidential Archives were also analyzed and some limitations were identified. Based on the characteristics of the Korean Presidential Archives, which will be moved to independent building in Sejong City soon, desirable direction to organize tour programs for various user groups were suggested.

본 연구는 국가보훈처의 ‘공훈전자사료관’ 컬렉션을 기반으로 독립 운동 컬렉션에 대한 출처별, 주제별, 자료유형별 분류 체계를 제안하였다. 먼저 출처별 분류 체계는 계층별로 구성하였으며 출처별로 분류된 기록물들은 관련 주제어에 따라 2차 분류한 후, 17가지 자료유형별로 분류하였고 ‘출처-주제-자료유형’의 인용 순서로 기술하였다. 또한 주제어를 바탕으로 한 귀납적 방법을 이용하여 유의미한 컬렉션을 도출하였다. 이를 통해 공훈전자사료관 컬렉션을 출처별, 주제별, 자료유형별로 이용자가 기록물을 쉽게 찾을 수 있도록 분류하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 독립 운동 DB 자료의 기록물 검색을 지원하기 위한 분류 체계로서 이용자의 접근성을 높이고 독립 운동 기록물 서비스를 확장하는데 기초가 될 것이다.
Abstract
This study suggests the development of a classification system for the Independent Movement Records of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs based on the collection of Gonghun Digital Archive based on sources, subjects, and media types. First, the classification system by source is organized by hierarchy, and the records classified by source are classified into the second category based on the related keyword. Then, the records are classified into 17 media types. Finally, it is described in the citation order of “source-subject-media type.” In addition, a meaningful collection using inductive methods based on the subject words is derived. Finally, Gonghun Digital Archive collections are categorized by media types, sources, and subjects so that users can easily find the records. The result of this study is a classification system to support records retrieval of an independent movement collection, and it will become a basis for expanding the accessibility of the user and the service of independent movement records.

정보화 사회의 도래로 아카이브 기관은 대국민 서비스의 일환으로 디지털 기술을 도입하여 보존과 전시에 활용하기에 이르렀다. 본 연구의 목적은 급변하는 기술의 발전으로 인하여 아카이브 전시에 다양한 디지털 기술을 사용하는 것에 대한 필요성을 고찰하는 것이다. 이를 위해 아카이브와 디지털 전시의 개념과 유형을 살펴보고, 아카이브에 디지털 전시방법을 사용할 때 그 활용도를 조사하였다. 또한 구체적인 기록물관리기관의 디지털 전시사례를 조사하였다. 아카이브자료를 웹페이지를 통하여 전시했을 때 가장 큰 장점은 기록물이 가지는 본연의 정보 제공의 기능과 더불어 하이퍼링크 기술을 통한 정보의 무한 확장성을 들 수 있다. 디지털전시의 방법으로 가상현실은 평면적인 아카이브에 입체감과 현실감을 넣어 이용자의 흥미와 관심을 불러일으킨다. 또한 스토리텔링은 온라인상에 이용자와의 커뮤니케이션의 장을 만들어 서로 상호작용을 하며 이 과정까지도 스토리에 반영되어 새로운 콘텐츠로 탄생된다. 이러한 일련의 기능들이 아카이브에 대한 관심과 흥미를 높여 이용자들의 정보의 공유, 참여를 가져오고, 더불어 디지털 전시를 통한 새로운 콘텐츠 자원은 문화 자원과 관광 자원으로 지역사회와 기관을 홍보하므로 아카이브 전시에 다양한 디지털 기술을 사용하는 것은 그 의의가 있다.
Abstract
Recently, the development of information technology (IT) continues to promote the digitalization of archives (valuable records) and has therefore, affected archiving centers. This digitalization is shown to these archiving centers by taking advantages of various digital exhibitions. This study aims to consider why it is necessary to use digital exhibitions in archiving centers. In order to examine the needs of digital exhibitions, this study focuses on some ideas and important roles in digital exhibitions and research cases of online exhibitions applied with digital technology. Consequently, this study derives some values from them. Digital exhibitions held online continuously provide the following; first, a great amount of information about the archives by using hyperlink; second, the ability to recreate the attractive contents of digitalized archives by utilizing virtual reality, which makes the users greatly interested; the third and final thing online digital exhibitions provide is the storytelling it provides, which also serves as an avenue for people to communicate with one another. These processes of communication are also reflected in the story. In addition, they can help publicize not only the archiving center, but also the local community as it promotes cultural and tourism resources.
