초록
본 연구의 목적은 IPA(Importance Performance Analysis) 기법을 활용하여 사립대학 기록물관리전문요원의 직무를 분석하여 직무의 중요도와 실제 업무 수행의 성취도 차이를 분석하는데 있다. 또한 전문적인 교육을 통해 기록물관리전문요원의 자격을 갖춘 집단과 그렇지 않은 집단의 차이를 분석하고자 하였다. 우선, 연구 목적 달성을 위해 법령과 지침 등을 통해 기록물관리전문요원이 수행해야 하는 업무를 도출한 후 실제 기록물관리전문요원의 검증을 거쳐 세부 업무를 확정하였다. 이를 기초로 사립대학 기록물관리업무 담당자에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였으며 수집된 데이터는 업무의 중요도와 실제 성취도를 알아보기 위해 IPA기법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 기록물관리전문요원과 전문요원이 아닌 경우 모두 기록관리 업무를 수행하고 있기 때문에 중요도에 대한 이해는 높은 편이었다. 그러나 실제 성취에 있어서 기관의 인식과 같은 환경적인 요인이 상당 부분 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the difference between job importance awareness and actual job achievement of archivists of private universities through importance–performance analysis (IPA), and to analyze the difference between certified and noncertified archivists about the above two factors. To achieve the purpose, the detailed job activities were drawn through a review of laws, regulations, and policies. The detailed list of job activities was confirmed by a few current archivists, Using the confirmed list of detailed job activities, a survey was conducted for archivists of private universities. The collected data in the survey were analyzed using the IPA method. According to the study results, the two groups of archivists have a clear understanding of their jobs; however, environmental factors influence the actual achievement of the jobs.
초록
대중 매체의 보도는 보도 대상에 대한 사회의 인식을 반영하는 동시에, 그 보도 대상에 대한 공공의 이미지에 영향을 끼친다. 이는 아카이브 관련 직업군, 기관, 장서에 대해서도 적용된다. 이 연구에서는 아카이브에 대한 공공의 이미지를 파악하기 위하여 2003-2004년간의 국내 주요 일간 신문 보도 내용을 수집하여 그 결과를 기록관리 문화, 기록물의 가치, 기업 및 병원기록관리, 정부기록관리, 아키비스트 직종의 다섯 범주로 나누어 각 범주에 해당하는 기사 내용을 분석하고, 총체적인 보도 유형과 동향을 파악하였다. 그 결과 우리나라에서는 아카이브에 대한 공공 이미지가 아직 충분히 형성되지 않은 상태이며, 단편적인 관심의 대상으로 다루어지고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 아키비스트의 사기 진작과 기록관리 정착을 위하여 기록관리에 대한 공공의 이미지를 증진하여야 하며, 이를 위해 아카이브와 아키비스트의 홍보 활동이 더욱 적극적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다.
Abstract
Public image on the Archives is investigated through media coverage of archival profession, institutions and collections in Korea between 2003 and 2004 in this research. News stories under the subject of archives are collected and categorized into archival culture, value of records, business archives, government records and civil rights movement, and archivists and archival advocacy. The patterns of the media coverage are discovered and analyzed from various viewpoints. As a result, ongoing proactive public relations with mass media are necessary in order to enhance currently low public image of archives of Korea.
