초록
학교 수업이 다양한 외부의 콘텐츠를 활용하는 환경으로 변화하면서 수업 자료로 사용할 수 있는 교육용 콘텐츠의 수요가 증가하고 있다. 기록관은 소장 기록을 활용하여 다양한 교육용 콘텐츠를 제공할 수 있는 주요 기관으로, 영국의 국립기록보존소(TNA)는 그간 수많은 교육용 콘텐츠를 제작하여 교사와 학생들에게 제공해왔다. 이 연구는 기록이 더 이상 보존에 그치는 것이 아니라 활용되기 위한 기록의 교육적 가치를 아키비스트들이 발견하고 다양한 형태의 콘텐츠로 이용자들에게 제공하는 데에 도움이 될 수 있기 바라며, 체계적인 교육용 콘텐츠를 제공하는 TNA의 다양한 콘텐츠의 내용과 형식, 생산 과정, 제공 방법 등을 집중적으로 분석하였다. 그리고 TNA의 교육용 콘텐츠 분석 결과와 우리나라 국가기록원과 비교하여 국가기록원 웹 사이트와 타 기록관에서 이를 반영하여 개선될 수 있는 내용을 제안하였다.
Abstract
As the teaching environment of schools has significantly shifted toward using various types of educational contents, the need for the use of educational contents as class resources has increased. Having an archive is an effective way of organizing information that can provide various educational contents. The National Archives (TNA) of the UK has been actively producing and providing educational contents for teachers and students for a long time. The purpose of this study is to analyze in depth the detailed examples and structure of the contents, the process of producing educational contents, and the methods of providing various contents of the TNA, which systematically provides diverse educational contents. It intended to help archivists discover the educational values of archives in providing users with various types of educational contents. Then, the study compared the analysis results with the National Archives of Korea and suggested for its improvement, as well as that of other archives in the country.

정보기술의 발달로 이용자들은 아키비스트의 개입 없이 자유롭게 기록을 검색할 수 있게 되었지만, 기존의 기록물 검색 시스템은 이용자의 의도를 파악하지 못하는 단편적인 결과를 제공하고 있다. 이런 문제를 극복하기 위해 시맨틱 웹 기술이 발전하고 있으며, ICA에서는 이를 반영하여 새로운 기록물 기술 표준인 RIC(Record In Context)을 개발하고 있다. RIC의 개념모델과 온톨로지는 시맨틱 검색을 구현하는 기반이 되기 때문에, 이것이 실제로 어떻게 이용자들에게 서비스될 수 있을지 고민해볼 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 온톨로지를 기반으로 하는 기록물 검색 시스템이 어떤 인터페이스를 통해 구현될 수 있을지 제안해보았다. 시맨틱 웹 기술을 기반으로 한 검색 시스템의 사례 3가지를 선정해 이용자들의 인터뷰를 통한 사용경험 평가를 진행하였고, 여기에서 얻은 시사점을 기반으로 하여 기록물 검색 시스템의 인터페이스를 4가지 측면으로 구성하여 제안하였다.
Abstract
With the development of information technology, users can freely search records and archives without the involvement of archivists. However, existing records retrieval systems show only partial search results, which do not consider the users’ intention. To overcome this problem, semantic web technology is being developed, and the International Council on Archives (ICA) is working to develop RIC (Records In Context), a new archival description standard, which reflects the trend. The conceptual model for archival description and its ontology of RIC are the basis for implementing semantic-based retrieval. In other words, it is necessary to consider the viewpoint of the users on how the records retrieval based on meaning should be designed and provided. Therefore, this study selected three cases of systems, which are built as semantic web technology, and conducted interviews of the users for the evaluation of the systems based on user experience. This study proposes the kind of interface that can be implemented for the ontology-based record retrieval system.

방대한 정보 획득의 공간속에서 보다 명확한 정보를 찾기 위한 요구가 증대됨에 따라 기록관리기관에서 학술연구지원서비스의 제고는 매우 중요하다 볼 수 있다. 2019년 대통령기록관은 영구기록물관리기관에서 유일하게 학술연구지원서비스를 개시하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대통령기록관에서 시행되는 학술연구지원서비스의 미흡한 이용 현황을 파악하고, 대통령기록을 학술 목적으로 이용하고 연구를 진행한 경험이 있는 이용자 8명과의 면담을 통해 문제점과 요구사항 등을 분석하여 대통령기록관의 연구지원서비스 고도화 방안을 제시하고, 이를 기반으로 영구기록물관리기관의 서비스 향상을 위한 방안을 제시하였다. 연구자들은 대부분 온라인 검색을 통해 정보탐색을 하나, 배경지식에 따라 정보격차가 컸고, 정보가 부족하면 연구 범위를 축소시키며, 검색도구, 기록 관리 및 기록 공개 측면에서 문제점이 발생했고, 학술연구지원서비스에 대해 대부분 인지하지 못하였다. 이에 고도화방안을 연구자 간 정보격차 감소, 검색도구 기능의 개선, 기록의 상세한 기술, 지리적 제약의 해소, 학술연구지원서비스 홍보 및 콘텐츠 개발, 주제전문 아키비스트 양성 및 온라인채팅 서비스 제공 등으로 제시하였다.
Abstract
As the demand for finding clearer information amid vast information acquisition increases, the enhancement of academic research services is highly important. In 2019, the Presidential Archives opened the only academic research services among the permanent archives management institutions. This study aims to identify the status of the insufficient use of academic research services implemented in the Presidential Archives, analyze problems and requirements through interviews with users who have used the Presidential Archives for academic purposes and conducted research, suggest a plan to upgrade the research services of the Presidential Archives, and offer a plan to improve the services of archives institutions accordingly. Researchers mostly sought information through an online search, but the information gap was large depending on the background knowledge, and the research scope was reduced because of insufficient information. Moreover, problems occurred regarding search tools, records management, and records disclosure, and most users were unaware of the academic research services. Therefore, the advancement plans entailed reducing the information gap among researchers, improving the search tool functions, creating more detailed descriptions of records, resolving geographic constraints, promoting academic research services and developing content, nurturing subject-specialized archivists, and providing online chatting services.
