초록
본 연구는 대통령기록관을 이용하는 학술연구자에게 심층적인 연구지원서비스를 제공하기 위하여 문제점을 살펴보고, 이에 대한 개선방안을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 우선 문헌연구를 통해 연구지원서비스의 정의 및 유형을 파악하였으며, 정의된 내용을 바탕으로 국내외 대통령기록관 웹사이트에서 제공되고 있는 연구지원서비스 현황을 분석하였다. 이와 함께 미국 대통령기록관 담당자에의 질의응답과 정보공개청구를 통해 제공받은 자료들을 현황분석에 추가하였다. 분석 결과 여섯 가지 분야에서 개선점을 도출하였으며, 이를 기반으로 대통령기록관의 연구지원서비스를 활성화시킬 수 있는 체계화된 연구지원서비스 제공의 필요성을 인식하였다. 그 결과 서비스 범주별로 연구지원서비스 모형을 설계하여 제안하였다.
Abstract
The study aims to identify the problems of the research support service in presidential archives for users who use archives for scholarly purposes. For these purposes, the study conducted a literature survey. Moreover, this study compared and analyzed the content of presidential archives’ Web sites between the U.S. and Korea. In addition, we examined the interviews via e-mail with an archivist working in the presidential archives in the U.S. and gained the materials from the presidential archives in Korea through a request of information disclosure. It was found that six improvements were considered by academic users to meet their needs. Consequently, based on the analysis, a research support services framework consisting of a service category was developed. With the proposed services, the academic utilization of presidential archives can be facilitated.

기능별 분류체계나 출처 중심의 탐색은 이용자들에게 쉽지 않으며 키워드검색도 이용자가 입력한 검색어와 기록물명의 단순 매칭 결과만 제시하여, 이용자의 기대에 부응하지 못하고 있다. 대통령기록관에서는 주제 분류체계를 개발하여 기록검색의 효율성을 높이고자 하였으며, 이와 연계하여 이용자들의 검색 과정을 돕고 기록관리 업무에도 용어통제 등 도움을 줄 주제 시소러스를 개발하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 대통령기록물 건명을 형태소 분석하고, 관련 시소러스와 이용자가 웹사이트에 입력한 검색 용어 및 정보공개 청구용어 등의 현황을 면밀히 분석한 후, 주제 분류체계와의 매핑을 통해 주제시소러스를 개발한 과정을 제시한다. 또한 주제 시소러스의 업무 및 온라인 서비스에의 활용 방안을 제시하며, 앞으로의 발전방향을 제시한다.
Abstract
To search based on the functional classification or provenance is not easy for users, and the key word-based information retrieval presents only simple words matching with the title of the records. The Presidential Archive of Korea developed a subject classification scheme to improve the convenience of searching for various records and came up with a subject thesaurus based on the scheme that utilizes the terms appearing on the title of the records and the terms used by the users who searched the portal or requested information disclosure. This research presents the development process of subject thesaurus. It also presents the utilization methods for records management work and services.
