초록
본 연구는 현대미술의 아카이브 담론으로서 ‘아트 아카이브’와 ‘아카이브 아트’의 기초 개념을 정리하고, 아카이브적 특성에도 불구하고 미술작품이라는 매체적 특수성으로 인해 기록학에서는 크게 주목하지 않았던 아카이브 아트를 새롭게 고찰한다. 동시대 미술의 새로운 경향으로 받아들여지고 있는 아카이브 아트는 ‘아카이브 구조나 방법론을 활용하는 미술작품이나 미술실천’을 의미한다. 지금까지 아카이브 아트 관련 연구의 주된 특징은 권력자에 의해 평가 및 선별되었기에 아카이브를 신뢰할 수 없는 대상으로 평가하고, 미술가가 공적 영역에서 소외되고 결락된 역사를 새롭게 구축한다는 점에서 대항 서사로 평가하는 것이다. 이러한 접근은 반아카이브적 관점으로 현대 아카이브를 비판하면서도 아카이브를 작품의 핵심적인 정체성으로 내세우는 모순적 특성을 드러낸다. 따라서 지금까지 전개된 주요 논의들은 기록의 진본성을 존중하고 기록 정보를 활용해 자신의 논리를 강화하는 사례를 포괄하지 못하고, 심지어 이들과 대치된다는 점에서 한계를 드러낸다. 본 연구에서는 기록학의 측면으로 아카이브 아트를 재정리해 유형을 분류하고, 각각의 특성을 분석할 것이다. 미술가가 활용한 아카이브 개념을 전통적인 기록학의 측면에서 접근하려는 시도는 미술작품이 지닌 본래의 미적 가치를 인정하면서도 이를 기록학의 연구 대상으로서 확대한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This study provides a synthesis of the fundamental concepts of “art archives” and “archival art” while undertaking a reconsideration of the latter. Archival art refers to “artworks or art practices that utilize archival structures or methodologies.” Accepted as a new trend in contemporary art, archival art is evaluated as a counternarrative and reconstructs histories that are marginalized and omitted from the public sphere. This approach reveals the contradictory nature of criticizing the contemporary archive from an anti-archival perspective while simultaneously presenting the archive as a core identity of the work. Given the limited research on archival art, often with potential contradictions regarding record authenticity, this study expands the concept of archival art, includes archaeological aspects, classifies types, and analyzes their characteristics. By approaching artists’ use of archives from a traditional archaeological lens, this study broadens the scope of the examination.

이 연구는 국내 동시대 미술작가들을 대상으로 개인기록의 생산 및 관리 현황을 조사하고 이를 토대로 교육 등 작가들의 작품활동 기록화에 필요한 지원 방안을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 첫째, 동시대 미술에서 작품활동 기록화의 중요성과 이를 위한 지원 동향을 문헌 연구를 통해 정리하였다. 둘째, 다양한 형식과 매체를 활용하는 동시대 미술작가 6명에 대한 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 인터뷰를 통해 작품활동 과정별로 기록 생산 현황을 조사하였고, 기록유형별로 관리실태를 조사하였다. 셋째, 조사 내용에 대한 분석을 토대로 작가, 미술관, 아키비스트 등이 작품 기록화를 위하여 협력, 지원해야 할 사항을 제안하였다. 지원 영역은 교육프로그램의 제공, 미술관의 작품활동 기록화, 기록화를 위한 도구 개발 및 지원으로 구분하였다.
Abstract
The study aims to investigate the production and management of contemporary Korean artists' personal records and propose support measures necessary for documenting their work activities, such as educational programs. First, through a literature review, the importance of documenting contemporary artists' work activities and the support program documentation are analyzed. Second, through interviews with six contemporary artists using various formats and media, records production by artistic process and management by documentation type are investigated. Third, based on the investigation analysis, the cooperation and support plan to be cooperated by art museums, archivists, and other record professionals for the artwork documentation is recommended. Areas of support are divided into educational program provision, museum artistic activity documentation, and documentation tools development and support.

전문직의 역량은 전문성을 입증하고 개발하는데 활용할 수 있다. 이와 관련하여 이 연구에서는 역량의 개념과 역량모델의 개발, 활용에 대한 이론을 정리하고, 해외 기록전문직 역량 체계를 사례 분석을 통해 국내 기록전문직의 전문성 강화를 위한 역량 체계 활용 방안을 제안하였다. 해외 사례 분석 대상은 해외 기록전문가협회 등에서 개발한 기록전문직 역량체계 5가지로 선정하였다. 해외 사례 분석 결과 기록전문직의 역량 체계는 크게 2가지로 활용되고 있었다. 첫 번째는 전문정의 입증을 위한 활용으로 기록전문가 협회 차원에서 공인전문가 등록을 위한 검증 기준으로 활용하는 것이다. 두 번째는 전문성 강화를 위한 활용으로 전문직 개인의 자가 평가 및 전문 계속 교육 프로그램 설계와 연계하여 활용하는 것이다. 그리고 이 두 가지 활용 방안은 역량의 입증과 강화라는 역량 체계의 활용 목적과 함께 상호 보완적인 관계로 운영될 수 있다.
Abstract
Professional competencies serve to demonstrate and develop expertise. As such, the study summarized theories on the concept of competency and competency model development and utilization, proposing ways to utilize the competency system to strengthen domestic archivists’ expertise through a case study of international archivist competency systems. Five competency frameworks for archivists developed by international archivist associations were analyzed. Results showed that the archival profession’s competency frameworks were primarily utilized in two ways. First, they are used to verify professional definitions, which are used as verification standards for registering certified professionals at the archivist association level. Second, they are used to enhance expertise in conjunction with individual professional self-assessment and continuing professional development program design. These two applications can operate in a complementary relationship to utilize the competency framework in demonstrating and strengthening competencies.

이 연구의 목적은 현재까지 진행된 마을기록활동가 양성 교육 프로그램(이하 "교육 프로그램")의 현황을 파악하고, 이를 개선하기 위한 운영 방안으로 역량 기반의 교육 프로그램 운영 모형을 제안하는 것이다. 교육 프로그램의 수가 꾸준히 증가함에 따라 프로그램을 활성화하고 운영을 체계화할 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 프로그램의 목표를 달성하기 위한 내용과 마을기록활동가의 역량, 교육 프로그램과 기록활동의 지속성에 초점을 맞추고자 하였다. 이를 위해 국내외 문헌을 통해 마을기록활동가의 의미와 역할을 알아보고, 2015년부터 2023년까지의 교육 프로그램 진행 현황을 파악하였으며, 문헌 연구와 사례 연구의 시사점을 프로그램의 교육자 면담을 통해 검증하였다. 면담의 시사점은 목표별 프로그램 운영 방안, 마을기록활동가의 역량, 발전 방안으로 정리하여 운영 모형에 반영하였다. 역량 기반 교육 프로그램 운영 모형은 모형의 구조, 설계 원칙, 목표별 교육 과정 모듈, 교육 프로그램 운영 단계별 고려 사항으로 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to identify the current status of the village citizen archivist training program (hereinafter “training program”) and propose a competency-based training program operational model to improve it. With the steadily increasing number of training programs, revitalizing programs and systemizing operations become imperative. This study focuses on achieving the program's goals, the competence of village citizen archivists, and the continuity of training programs and archiving activities. To this end, the meaning and role of village citizen archivists were investigated through domestic and international literature. Moreover, the current status of training programs from 2015 to 2023 was identified, and the implications of literature reviews and case studies were verified through interviews with the program educators. The implications of the interview were summarized as the program operational plan for each goal, the competence of village citizen archivists, and the development plan, thereby being reflected in the operational model. The competency-based education program operational model was proposed to incorporate a model structure, design principles, curricular modules for each goal, and considerations for each stage of education program operation.
