초록
기독교의 기록은 개별교회와 관련된 기록뿐만 아니라, 기독교 단체 및 개인, 그 외 언론사에서 발간한 기독교 관련 기록 등 매우 다양하다. 이러한 기독교 기록은 교회내․외의 다양한 기관에 산재되어 있고 그에 따라 관리방식 역시 상이하다. 다양한 관리방식 및 기록이 산재함으로 인한 열악한 접근성은 이용자들로 하여금 기록의 활용을 어렵게 만든다. 본 연구는 기독교 역사기록 기술(記述)규칙을 개발하여 산재된 기록들을 통합적으로 관리, 접근할 수 있는 기반을 마련하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 국제 영구기록물 기술표준 ISAD(G)와 국가기록원의 영구기록물 기술규칙을 바탕으로 민주화운동기념사료관, 미국 북장로회 아카이브 기술규칙을 비교 분석하였고, 이를 통해 도출된 결과와 기독교 역사기록물의 특징을 고려하여 기독교 역사기록 기술규칙을 제안하였다.
Abstract
Christian records are greatly diversified as they are scattered in various institutions inside and outside of the church, which include records of Christian organizations, individuals, and the media. Given this, their management methods also vary. Because of this diversification of methods, it is difficult for people to access and make use of these records. This study aims to develop rules for the archival description of Christian historical records to provide a foundation that will allow users to have an integrated system where they can access all Christian records from different institutions including the church. For this purpose, the rules for archival description of the National Archives of Korea and the Korea Democracy Foundation, and those of the Presbyterian Church in the United States were compared, and from this comparison, features of each institution were identified. Using the features based on ISAD(G) (General International Standard Archival Description) and Christian historical records, the rules for the archival description of Christian historical records were developed.

교회기록관은 교회의 역사와 전통을 보존하고 성도들의 영적유산을 계승하려는 목적으로 설립된 기관으로, 교회의 활동을 통해 생산된 기록물과 교회의 신앙적 인물들의 기록물들을 수집하여 관리하는 역할을 한다. 개별 교회만의 다큐멘테이션을 형성하여 일관적인 수집활동을 지속할 수 있도록 교회 기록관의 수집정책을 개발할 필요가 있다. 수집정책은 기록물 선별을 위한 토대이자 기록관의 기록물을 구성하는 체계적인 지침이다. 수집정책을 통해 교회 기록관은 수집의 범위와 우선적으로 수집할 기록물의 유형 등을 파악할 수 있게 된다. 본 연구에서는 교회 기록관을 대표하여 영락교회 역사자료실의 수집정책 개발을 위해 교회의 특징 및 기록관의 수집정책에 관한 문헌연구와 사례조사, 담당자 면담을 시행하였다.
Abstract
A church's archives aims to preserve the history of the church and inherit the spiritual legacy of Christianity. It also plays critical roles in strengthening the identities of the church members. As such, this study focuses the role of a church archive and, in particular, its acquisition policies. An acquisition policy is the foundation of archival records management, which is achieved by balancing the scope of the collection and collecting various record types. For this, the authors analyzed the acquisition process of Young-nak Church's archives and also conducted in-depth interviews with the archivists.
